The structure of the port Luca Ferrari
comprises a long extra-urban quay
with internal docks, three quays in
cement and one breakwater quay
with internal docks in cement, and six
floating piers with moorings in swath.
Alongside the standard service utili-
ties (electrical energy and water) sup-
plied by columns, the port has Wi-Fi
coverage over its entire area (wireless
provided by Bluwireless), and a mod-
ern plant for the suction of polluted
bilge waters; view of the port is tow-
ered by the votive chapel Stella Maris
(or Star of the Sea), built for those
fallen at sea.
The port has 550 boat places, all of
which equipped with power socket for
watercrafts ranging between 5 to 30
meters of length. It can host boats
up to 35 meters long in transit, with
maximum draft of 2.80 meters. Car
parking lot (first 30 minutes free of
charge) and parking places reserved
to the assignees; bike rental.
Three units of restroom-dressing
room facilities complete with showers
are available.
There are diving centers within the
port to embark on magnificent div-
ing sessions to explore the seabed
of the Gallinara island, about 1 mile
away, two nautical construction sites
with fixed crane of up to 40 tons and
mobile, two bars, the Nautical Club Al
Mare (At Sea), the Maritime District
Office, and two gas stations.
At the facility you can take part in
sailing lessons for adults and children
alike, and scuba-diving lessons.
The port facility Marine of Alassio is
classified Bandiera Blu (note: an of-
ficial acknowledgement to maritime
structures of their awareness of the
environment) for landings since 2006,
title assigned by the Fee (Foundation
for Environmental Education).
